Watch Out Texas Here We Come!!!!

Well it's 12:36 in the am and I still have not gone to bed. As usual I procrastinated and waited to the very last minute to pack for Texas.I am waiting on the last load of clothes to dry and then I am off to bed for a few hours of shut-eye. We are going to Texas to see my sister-in-law, Dana and her great big wonderful family. Dana is Danny's sister and I could not have asked for a better sis-in-law. She is married to a fantastic guy, Cody and they have six, yes six, great kids. I don't know who is more excited, Delainey, Danny or me.

Before I say goodnight I wanted to give everyone an update on daddy. I went to see him today and he is doing pretty good. Delainey hung out with Papa while Nana ran a few errands. Our preacher stopped by and Daddy said Delainey talked his ears off. I asked her what they talked about and of course she said nothing. I hope my little angel didn't tell any Milligan secrets, LOL!!! Anyway, daddy is a little tired and weak today, but overall had a fair day. Please continue to pray for my daddy.

I leave you with a few pictures of The Henderson's. We can't wait to see them!! Ta Ta for now!!

Family News

Okay, I have half-way figured out this blogging thing and I think I am an official blogger. This blog will be used to post news about my family, including news about my dad. For those who don't know, my daddy was diagnose with cancer on June 11, 2009. For those who have experienced a love one with cancer you are very aware of what we are going through. For those who have not just let me tell you it changes your life and everything about it.

Daddy is going to start his third round of chemo on Monday, July 27, 2009. So far he has done great on his chemo. He has been really tired, a little nauseated, and not much of a appetite. Overall I think he has done a AWESOME job in handling the chemo treatments. Daddy's attitude and Spirits are so wonderful! He is a positive man who always sees the good in things and he has someway found the good in taking chemo. I love my Daddy very much and he is truley my hero.

His regiment of Chemo is as follows: He is on chemo a total of 8 days and then he has a break for two weeks and then he starts over again. The first one he gets is call Gemzar and he takes it the first and last day of his chemo cycle. That takes about 30 minutes to go through his port. After the Gemzar he starts the second drug that is called 5-FU which he takes for 7 days/ 24 hours a day. For those who know my funny daddy he thinks the name for the second chemo is very appropriate. He said the first person who had this drug named it exactly right(get it FU) LOL!!!!!

I am going to really try and update as much as possible on daddy. My family, needs lots of prayers coming our way. To those who have been praying for us, Thank you, we have felt each and every one of them. We are very lucky to have so many wonderful friends and family.

That is all for now. I am including a picture of my daddy so those of you that don't know him can put a face with a prayer. Thanks again everyone for your love and support.

My First Post of a real official Blog

I am so excited that I finally took the time to make a real blog. I love reading other peoples blogs and like to see all their fun pictures and to read about their families. But what I like most of all is that every blog I have stumble upon to they are a Christian. That is such a wonderful thing. These days you don't know who is a believer and who is not. I am proud to be a Christian and glad that God is my father.
